Common Questions with Done for You Services from Downstage Media

Before investing in your marketing, it’s normal to have questions. Here are some of the concerns that come up the most often for our clients before they hire Downstage Media to take care of their messaging, strategy, or email marketing.

Downstage Media’s Done for You Services are the top tier in price when it comes to our offerings. So how can you be sure that you’re actually getting your money’s worth? It can be nerve wracking to join up with a solopreneur. Or, you may be worried that you are under a tight deadline and need assets yesterday. Or, how can you be sure any of this is going to work and help you spread the word about your business.

Each of these concerns is valid. Since it’s important to me that you know what you’re getting into, I’ll address each of your worries so you can understand what working with Downstage looks like.

Downstage Media is a One Woman Show

Hey there! I’m Annie Schiffmann and I run Downstage Media. It’s my company. I’ve been the driving force behind it since 2017 when it first started. Although I am excellent with time management, I definitely can’t do it all. So here’s how I handle the workload that being a solopreneur requires.

  1. When I can’t handle a job, I usually don’t take it. It’s why I have a limited number of DIY: Business Made Simple + Marketing Mentorship spaces available, for example.

  2. When I don’t have the time or specific skills to execute your project, I turn to the StoryBrand Guide Community. One of the perks of being a Certified StoryBrand Guide is that I have access to hundreds of marketers who specialize in many different areas. If I can’t handle your project on my own, I can outsource some of the work to them. You will still interface with me, but I’ll be transparent with the person who will be doing the work for you.

Rest assured that even though I may often be pressed for time, I don’t compromise on my standards for my clients. In the past, Downstage has hired video editors, social media content creators, and social media ad experts to fill in the gaps for specific projects. Should your project need it, I’m happy and ready to do so.

Revamping Any Part of My Marketing is Going to Take Soooo Long

Revamping or adding new elements to your marketing can seem like a big undertaking. It can make you feel like you don’t want to even bother because you have to redo the whole thing. I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way. Whenever you have a project with Downstage Media - whether it’s a new email sequence or a social media strategy - you’ll get a clear timeline. Most deliverables take about two weeks. Usually what takes awhile is for the client to get a meeting on the books to approve or discuss the project. I use the Acuity Scheduling system so that you can always schedule a time that works for you without all of the back and forth.

You schedule appointments that work best for you. No emailing back and forth figuring out the best times.

But, of course, if you need something sooner, just let me know your timeframe I’ll do my best to accommodate it. If I can’t, I’ll point you in the direction of someone else who can.

Not Sure It’s Going to Work

This is probably the scariest possibility of all. What if I spend all of this time, and invest this money and it doesn’t work? The fear is real and understandable. Here are some ways that you can be sure that your time with Downstage Media is well spent.

Before signing on with Downstage Media, you’ll have a proposal with a timeline and what to expect. This also includes some realistic expectations. I would never tell you that you are going to collect 1000 emails in a weekend or bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars if that didn’t seem realistic. You’ll know what you’re getting into, in what amount of time, what a fair outcome to expect is, and the price that it will all be. Any if you have any questions about that, of course, you’re always welcome to run them by me before you spend a dime.

Should we get stuck in a jam, I have a network of people to call on. As I mentioned before, as a StoryBrand Certified Guide I have an entire network of thousands of marketing professionals who are at the ready to run ideas by, get peer feedback, and work through any problems that come up. I have no problem asking for help, and if it means the difference between getting effectives results for a client or not, I won’t ever hesitate.

Finally, below I’ve included screenshots from email campaigns and social media strategies that clients were thrilled about. They were happy to see their open rates were doing way better than others in their industry. And no one ever complains about quadruple digit growth. Especially without the benefit of paid ads.

The dotted light blue line is the average open rate for emails in the arts industry. The orange dots are the open rates that one of Downstage Media’s clients gets. Proving that we deliver above average results for you.

Within 30 days of implementing a social media strategy from Downstage Media, one client’s Facebook and Instagram reach increased significantly.

It’s Good to Be Concerned

Before making any kind of investment in your company it’s important to take some time for due diligence. Which is why I welcome any and all questions throughout the process of deciding to or actually working together. Even though I am a solopreneur, and it can feel like the process will take too long, or if you’re not sure it’s going to work at all, it’s worth taking a look at Downstage Media. Start by taking the free Marketing Assessment and getting your marketing report. Then, schedule an Intro Call. I’ll take care of what you need and your work gets shared with the world.
